There is no mention of this that I can find in the Autopilot installation instructions or operating manual. It looks like it is for some kind of adjustment, judging from the graduated markings around the edge.

I have a Perkins 4-108 Diesel motor out of an Ericson 46 for sale. It is a running take out. It ran fine, but needs the heat exchanger rebuilt. It also needs a starter rebuilt. The Velvet drive needs a need oil cooler and I cracked the bell housing when I removed it. It can be rewelded...
