Does someone have a cut a way view of the conatruction of the e-27 keel. I have a problem with the bottom the keel that I need to remedy. There appears to be a vee shaped wood filler inside of the bottom of the keel, below the ballast that is deteriating and causing the bottom of the keel to bulge and crack when the boat is on the hard. It appears that the wood filler needs to be replaced with resin and glass. Any information on keel construction and experience with this problem would be appreciated.
The problem had been temporarly resolved with glass and resin for the summer season but when again on the hard it will again bulge and cause problems.
