My friend Mike and his wife, Sheila, on Windchaser, E35, placed second in the Vashon Challenge, double handed no flying sails. While a friend and I placed second in doubled handed flying sails. Fun day no wind at the start but filled in and had a great summer Puget Sound sail, until the rain!

Way to go, Marc! What course did you sail? Is that a warmer version of the Winter Vashon? The one and only Winter Vashon I sailed in the wind never dropped below 25 knots and was usually in the mid-30s. I think records were set that year.

Craig,

Sort of like Winter Vashon, except it starts off Browns Point instead of TYC. Same course up Colvos and back down the east side. Usually hot and not much wind, but this year started out very light and built to a nice 12-15 knot southerly, with rain the last half hour or so. The race committee stopped the race at Point Robinson this year, which was a good idea as the wind shut off after the rain squalls passed.
