Jesus, that is horrible news to read. Really hoping his house is not gone.I read on Facebook last night that Christian has retreated to his boat and feels that his house is probably gone. What a disaster this has become and it’s something that us on the east coast can’t fathom. My first mate and I are praying for those impacted. It does seem that something could have been done beforehand to prevent the spread of the fires but I probably just don’t understand the scope of the situation.
Yes. Me too. That neighborhood seems to be one of the ones mentioned in the news, unfortunately.Jesus, that is horrible news to read. Really hoping his house is not gone.
Man, I am SO glad to hear that you and yours are okay. Like you, many of my friends in the Palisades and Malibu (and Hollywood Hills) bugged out with very few possessions beyond pets and wallets/purses. The devastation is literally scorched earth. I'm also glad MDR didn't get savaged, so at least Thelonius II is a safe harbor for you. Thanks for all the notes. Boats are fine, our house of 35 years is gone, along with those of all neighbors. We're now in a Santa Monica hotel.. We are all much like Maui fire, no possessions, but all options open. This is a natural disaster of biblical proportions, unimaginable really, and there is no sense of being singled out.
