We do plan to attend, but it will have to be via vehicle . We need to find a motel within easy walk of the appropriate part of the marina.

I am going to try to drive up for a day, assuming the surgeon has given me the OK to walk by then.

For those with maybe unsteady plans but would like to go to the Rendezvous:
Update on Rendezvous cancellation policy from Cap Sante Marina. If you sign up and cannot make it, and cancel 24 hours in advance, you will not be charged. If you do not show up and do not cancel, you will be billed 1 night moorage.

Tomorrow, June 13 I turn in the list and get assigned slips. After that you can still possibly find a slip at the marina but not necessarily with the group.

S/V Sagres
Unfortunately, it looks like Sagres won’t be making it this year. We embarked on a repower, and as one might expect with a 52 year old boat, we keep finding new surprises that need to be dealt with. (Latest, this morning, is that our prop strut is rotting out and needs to be replaced).

All of that said, though, we wouldn’t by opposed to organizing next year if there isn’t anyone from this side of the line willing to take up the mantle.

Sorry to hear Sagres won't be joining. Good luck on the work. We will miss seeing you. Thanks for offer to organize 2026 BC site. You may get a call.

Rendezvous Update:

I have submitted our list of boats to the Marina with proposed slip assignments. I will send that info out as soon as the Marina confirms the slips. We are in a line side by side on C dock.

I have also forwarded requests to Marina for the same slip, for those that asked for extra days before or after. For those who requested extra days, if you haven’t already, you need to contact Marina directly. They will need credit card to confirm reservation for the extra days.

I am working on a schedule of activities. Looking for comments, additional input, and volunteers. My first swing, draft schedule for the Rendezvous is as follows:

Friday July 11:

Starting 1 PM Arrival at Anacortes Cap Sante Marina. Pick up Welcome Packets at Slip C-44.
4 PM and later - Happy Hour at the Barge, BYOB, bring snacks, share if you like, dinner, and general socializing

Saturday July 12:

10 - Noon: Boat Walk - Show off your Ericson to the rest of us
1 - 2:30 PM: EYO Forum Topics – on the Barge - submit a topic you would like to present or discuss
Example: Fishing from a sailboat / Otto
2:30 - 3:30 PM: Blindfold Dinghy Race and/or Corn hole grudge match on the beach
3:30 - 4:30 PM: Happy Hour on the Barge
5 - 7 PM : Potluck dinner on the Barge
7 – 9 PM: Nautical Jeopardy on the Barge

Sunday July 13:

Farewell and departure by Noon unless staying extra days.
