Simple Rigging Question

Ericson 28 owners: do the lower shrouds go fore or aft? I think aft but perusing images of other boats on yachtworld, I see some going forward. The image in the manual looks like aft too. Does anyone know?

IIRC, the 28 has forward AND aft lowers-and if there were only one set, it should be basically in line with the uppers. Send a pic of your chainplates and ideally the mast connection points just under the spreader-you should see 2 holes-one for the fwd lowers and one for the aft lowers....
