Hi Glyn,

All, I just found out the fee to reserve the west bandstand on the Isthmus beach, available May 9 only

We'll of course chip in too, but will probably leave on the 9th.

Is the idea that you will use the bandstand to "entertain" us with your puns ?

Southwest gathering bandstand reservation.

All, Well it looks like I got elected to reserve the bandstand, something I'll do tomorrow morning. Please folks, keep your money for now and we'll figure it all out when we meet there. Stand by and I'll confirm it all to you tomorrow. 'Til then, Glyn

Sorry guys,

Can't make it out that weekend as I'll be in Eureka running a marathon. Oh well. I'll let my partner know about it if he wants to go.

8 Boats and $75 bucks for the Band Stand, about $10 bucks each, not bad. Just give me a address if you want to work it that way. I can send you a check Glyn.

Thanks for getting this together!

Paying for the bandstand.

Jeff and all, Please don't send me any money now, wait until we meet at the bandstand. I've been having a slight bit of trouble getting in touch with Leslie to reserve the bandstand, having left another message a few minutes ago on her voicemail. I'm sure it will all work out but am a bit anxious to nail the date down for sure. I'll keep you all posted as soon as I know it's a done deal. Glyn, E31 hull #55, Marina del Rey, CA

The bandstand is ours!!

All, Wow, what a few well placed phone calls up the food chain will do. I got a call back within two minutes after calling somebody who probably signs a bunch of folks paychecks on the island. The fix is on and we have the bandstand for Saturday May 9, 2009, let the good times roll!! Glyn, E31 hull #55 and temporary ownership of the Isthmus Cove west bandstand, Marina del Rey, CA

I think your priorities are confused. Painful running for no reason when you could be basking in the sunlight with the rest of us on our beautiful ships ?

Is your partner on EY.org or can you tell him to join if he decides to make the right choice ?

Looks good Sven,

The local News (for what it's worth), sez it's going to start heating up next Monday. Spent all day yesterday, readying and out fitting the Cucamonga. I am really looking forward to this trip as well. I will have my Friend Eddie (aka, Capt. Upchuck), his Nephew Greg and Eddie's trusty dog "Splash" with me.

Beam Winds to you Sven and everyone else! See you next week.

Hello all

Spent the last couple of weekends trying to get a couple of upgrades finished prior to Catalina. Lots of time, money, cussing and swearing so they are done. Regulus is as ready as ever. I just have to get the ferry schedule figured out to get the family over Saturday.

Jeff, I will meet you whatever time you want to buddy across. I recieved your phone number and will send my phone number back channel. If anyone else would like my number let me know.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Thanks Greg, Still had your number from last Summer. We will be likely shoving off between 9 and 10 am on Wednesday the 6th. I expect the usual beat to wind, motor sail for the first hour or so. Then we should be able to get a reach after we are well clear of the Palos Verdes peninsula and sail on in to Two Harbors.

Local forecast sez it should get into the 70's by Monday.

We're off, just about

No comments about "rockers" and "off" !

We decided that we needed the extra time to make sure we got there. We took the extra time off and are taking the whole week off ... we drive down to San Diego tomorrow and leave Sunday morning.

Our plan is to head West for the day, then head North during the night, and arrive at the Isthmus some time Monday. It will be a mini-adventure. If we arrive on Tuesday that is fine.

I think we'll shoot to name Senta II on Friday, we'll do as much of the de-re-naming ceremony as the law allows.

Our plans are too fluid for passengers but if anyone has a spare bunk give Lew a call at ldecker@san.rr.com and let him share the chores. I'm sure he would like a passage and bunk.

Bow-out, one more week ?

Good for you Sven, Beam winds on your voyage. I contemplated taking the whole week off my self but a coworker now has Jury duty and I can't bail out now. Sorry the Cucamonga has a full crew of 3 plus our mascot "Splash". I look forward to your Ceremony! I have done two of them now. I will be there Mid afternoon Wednesday.

BTW, my friend John and his 1970 E-30 are departing for the Puget Sound tomorrow. Beam Winds to John & "Gypsy Woman"!

This is going to be Great Fun!

Pray Glyn doesn't show up in his "Re-naming Shorts"
I've seen the photo!

Enjoy!

Anybody see Sven in this pic? From webcam 9:00 am today.

Is everybody ready to go?

Weather looks good temperature wise. May have some good swells though.
