Wanted - Companionway hatch (or plans to build) for an E-27

Hello all,

I was extremely excited when I logged on today and saw the thread listing a used E-27 companionway hatch on craigslist. Could I be that lucky? Unfortunately, I am a little late and the hatch has been sold.
While I doubt that another will become available soon, if anyone knows where I may find a used companionway hatch for a 1978 E-27 I would be in your debt.
Alternatively, I am looking for plans to build a new hatch and hope that someone here has taken on such a task. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

make me one too. The PO on my 27 mad some crappy plexiglass thing. I'm wanting to replace it this year but appears to be outside my limited woodworking abilities.

Just joking about making me one but I am interested in how your project goes. Plywood and varnish isn't that big of stretch for me.
