Thanks Sean - an off-season project, for sure! Thanks for all you do on this site.Yeah, I may be able to pull some email addresses from the database and then blast it out, but I would need to look into it.

Safe travels, Mark.On my way to the Chesapeake Bay this weekend, I will be passing 40 miles off the Atlantic side of Long Island, I will wave to all you Ericson New Yorkers as I go by. Actually, I will be dropping into Shinnecock after leaving Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
Same here, Mark! Look forward to the next one.Adrian, it was good to meet you last Friday

I just saw this. I am a new Ericson owner in RI. I bought Daddy's Mink, an Ericson 28 formerly from Barrington and Narragansett. Im trying to get it up to speed after years of neglect.Am I the only one active on here in the north east?
About 29 or 30 years there was a north east "Ericson Regatta" held at Shelter Island NY (between the forks of long island).
Perhaps those of us in the North East should consider doing something similar. Probably Shelter Island, New London, or someplace in Rhode Island would be good spots as they allow not too long of a travel time for folks from either side of those points.
Welcome fellow E28 owner - good luck with the rehab!I just saw this. I am a new Ericson owner in RI. I bought Daddy's Mink, an Ericson 28 formerly from Barrington and Narragansett. Im trying to get it up to speed after years of neglect.

Getting sailors together is like:...and we live up here now (in Jaffrey, NH) and would enjoy meeting some of you as well... So if you guys end up getting together, someone please send me a note...
Oh, that's ok - it was really just a general notice/request - whenever - this year, next year, etc. We have plenty going on here to occupy my attention this season before the snow starts flying again anyhow...like more insulation in our attic...(fun!)....something larger starts to coalesce yet this season

Meeta won't be stopped and loves Maine - so as long as there is somewhere reasonably close by we can get an accommodation, we'll be there. I would say the best would be no further north than Bath/Georgetown (makes about 3 hours from us by car - which is very reasonable...). How about in January?? =)Sean,
I have head one or two Ericson community members talk of sailing to Maine. what is the probability of there being a marina, a reasonable distance from you that might be used as a rendezvous?
We were previously members of the Maine Ericson Association before it broke up. We sail out of Casco bay and just finished two weeks on the boat going to Penobscot and back. Happy to provide any info I can for facilities in Maine. Once you get into late September and October the sailing is fantastic but the facilities start shutting down. Also seems odd to us.Casco Bay and Mid-Coast are very nice, but if you could make it to Penobscot Bay, you'd be rewarded with some geat sailing. A bit up there, I know. Sadly, the Maine Ericson group disbanded shortly before I got my boat.
