My Atomic 4 seized and was recently taken out of 73 E27. I have a Yanmar one cylinder YSB8 diesel in good condition complete with transmission, exhaust, gauges, controls, etc. It was taken out of Hunter 27 years ago. The engine is in good shape and runs well. I am thinking of using it in my Ericson 27 boat. Does anybody know if it can be done, and if it can, what is involved? It is pretty clear that I would have to modify engine mounts. Do I need to change propeller shaft too? What else do I need to do? I will appreciate any experience or advise.
