    Attn Sean Re: head project

Hi Sean, I have a couple of questions for you. Loved your project notes and pictures on the head replacement. I'm getting ready to do the same thing. I must have a 35-3. It was built in 1984 and has the specs of the 3. None of my paperwork states it though. Did your vent from the holding...

Interior counter and sink for head

After down-loading and printing all the specs on my 1974 E27, I noticed a E27 in one of the sales brochures as having a counter and sink located in the head space. Where do I get the specs or measurements for installing such a feature ?

    Mast head pulley repair

Both the main and the headsail masthead pulleys on my E-29 are jammed. Can I lower the tabernacle mounted mast with a system of pulleys and lines? Any advise would be helpful. Thanks, Ray Hughes. (Capricious, 1971 E-29, Oceanside, CA)

    Raritan PH head FS

I just replaced my PH head with a PH-II. After looking the PH over I decided that it could be rebuilt. There was a set of spares from the prior owner so I set about cleaning and scrubbing. It is in good working condition now. The seat shows it's age. The inlet pump housing has a small crack...

Update early e-29 head to a later version?

e-29 "Capricious" is a pretty sweet boat, but being an early model (1971) has a very modest head layout. My previous e-27 (1974) had a lot more privacy. Is it possible to re-fit my boat to the later e-29 layout? Also, the spindled grabrails atop the seating areas are pretty feeble. Ideas...

    Head changing- E32

I'm going to replace the head rather than rebuild. Leaking connectors and the fixture is exhibiting its age and smell. The boat is 30 years old and the head is a Raritan"compact". Does anyone have feedback -do's-don'ts?

Re doing the hoses and head

My question is why would the out going line on the holding tank be reduced to 1.25 and then tee and go back up to 1.5? Incoming is 1.5 from the head. Was it a clearance problem which could be fixed by building up the surface the tank sits on? Fisheries Supply had no Idea but thought it should...

Raritan PHII head, conversion to electric

The time has come to rebuilt the pump on our Raritan PHII manual head. While browsing the Port Supply catalog, I noticed there is an electric conversion kit available. Given that I'm willing to part with the $$$, does anyone have any coments about doing this. We have an E34 and do mostly...

    Recirculating Head

I need some help...I have a 1972 Ericson 29, it has the Kracor recirculating head option. There is even a portion about it in the owner's manual, unfortunately it does not possess enough information. It gives me the amount of chemical to mix...But that is it...How much if any water do I add ...

Does anyone know about a Jensen 770 head? We have never seen one and a friend of ours has it on his E-27 if anyone knows how it works we'd really like to hear from them.

    size of head thru-hull valve?

I just discovered that the only gate valve on my 1973 E-32 which was not replaced by a PO was the head discharge outlet. Can anyone tell me the size ball valve I'll need to replace it, and whether I can just unscrew the gate valve and put a new threaded ball valve onto the thru-full fitting? I...

    Mast head design flaw

The sheaves on my masthead do not extend out past the sides of the mast, and over the last 29 years the wire halyards have carved right through. The sheaves are mounted on pins that extend through the masthead, but have been drilled too close together. Has anyone encountered this and found the...
