Ok, for the life of me I can not remember if our boat has an anchor storage compartment on the front of the boat????? I searched all of my photos and didn't see one, can someone help me out.
It is likely too late to secure decent marina slips. Here are some options I would be willing to attend as well as some options to see what the other members would be interested in. I will only be capable of attending one in the US since my boat is in Everett, I work in San Diego and am only...
My Racor filter and lift pump are in an awful position to get at, any one have ideas on the best place to move them? Pics possibly? Just added this pic of my pump, it needs to be where it can be seen.
I am about ready to re step the mast on my e 35 2 I had to rebuild/re-enforce the original mast step due to a major crack. I dont know under what condition this crack ocurred, but I am pretty certain that the repair is 100%. Since the crack had let in (who knows how many years of water) I had to...
I'm going to install a depth sounder on my e 27 and was wondering if anyone had ever installed the transducer in the hollow area aft of the keel? pro's? cons?
I recently purchased a 1971 ericson 27 im restoring and i cant find the hull number. Its been painted before, can someone tell me where the exact spot is so i can try to find it.

Hello folks,
The head in my 1987 E-35 MK-3 has some oder issues, and as part of trying to find the cause, I need to know where the holding tank air-vent exits the boat. I assume it must be located somewhere on the port side of the deck, about amidship, but danged if I can find it. I want to...
Hi Folks...
My 35-2 has no signs of a hot water heater ever being installed. Can anyone tell me where the factory would have put it? Or better yet, where the best place is to put one.
thanks a bunch

I own a hurricane trashed 38, 1982 vintage. What a project. The stanchions are gone and I removed the hull to deck joint and laminated the hull to the deck inside and out. as such the reinforcement points for the stanchion bases are obscured by the laminates. I am kinda looking for some pictures...
We just purchased a 31C. The house batteries are currently located in the quarter berth in a makeshift box blocking the engine access. Is this where they were orignally located? If not, what was their original location? Thanks for your help...
The E35-II has the wheel way aft, behind a barrier. This gets the helmsman out of the way -- but isolated from the rest of the boat. It also makes access cumbersome.
Other boats, like the E39 (It t think) and the Pearson 35 put the wheel way forward -- right at the companionway. This gets...
I've recently taken posession of a new 38 and can't seem to find the bilge pump. Under the engine? Boy do I feel stupid. Any help? Thank you Tim, Ericson 38
FYI:
The attached photo is of the location of the transducer in my 1973 E27.
Note that I used silicone sealant to glue it directly to the hull.
The use of a lead line, verified the digital readout while at the berth.
Note that the prop shaft (and the Atomic 4) has been removed, as I am using...
OK, I give up trying to find the HIN on this '71 Ericson 32. I've looked everwhere with no luck. Can anyone give me a hint where to look? It is definately not on the back of the transom.
Thanks,
Gene in Galveston
I'm in the middle of an overwhelming renovation to a 1972 E35-2 #268. In the process of building a battery box to be located just forward of the nav station under the port settee. rewiring and movingt the electrical panel outboard of the nav station - there is a thru-hull almost under the nav...
I recently purchased a 1978 E/34-T. I have a thousand questions about it, but first and foremost is this: Where is the hull number??? I've looked everywhere.
Does anyone know where I can locate the hull number/ serial number on a Ericson 27 with a inboard (Atomic 4). Look as I may, I can't locate it. I have a self survey to do and it is one of the questions.
Any help is appreciated.

I can't find my battery charger. It isn't in the engine compartment and it isn't behind the electrical panel. The batteries are located under the foot of the bunk in the aft cabin. Outboard to port of the battery compartment is a void with no access opening. Inside the battery compartment is...
My 1976 E27 has 2 - 6volt batteries in series, which has worked very well thus far. However, I want to have a second bank for house power. I may replace these batteries, which are now several years old, with two deep cycle 12 volts, size 24 or 27.
This is an outboard model, with fuel tank...
Can anyone tell me where the GFCI outlet is on the E34? The surveyor tripped the GFCI and couldn't find the outlet with it. (He tripped it to test it, in an outlet in the galley without a GFCI.) We looked everywhere and couldn't find the GFCI outlet, either. Is there an outlet with a red GFCI...
Does anyone know where the Spinnaker pole foreguy,(downhaul), attatches to the foredeck. We just bought a spinnaker to go with all the spinnaker rigging that came with the boat and for the life of me I cannot figure out where the foreguy is attatched.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated
Greg
We are having a real hard time determining hull numbers for some late 60s and early 70s boats, specifically E23s. Was there a standard location for such? One owner reports finding the same written numbers on several interior wood pieces when he disassembled them for refinishing. Does anyone...
Auto pilot Raymarine ST 4000 - I'm looking for the best location for the fluxgate compass unit in our E-35-3 1984 and I was hoping that sombody
might have a good suggestion. The wheel assembly went great and the
fluxgate doesn't look to hard [ except fot the location ] BUT, the arm on
the...
I am wondering if anyone can lead me to my fresh water holding tank? I am new owner of E35-2 1979, Hull 556 in New Orleans, LA, and the p/o sells the vessel with little knowledge of the boats systems. The pressure water pump seems to be sucking air, so I am going to refill the tanks, but I was...
Has anyone moved the mainsheet on an E38 closer to the binnacle? I have a plan all worked out in my devious little head of a way to do it (and have it be temporary/easily changed back) but if someone has a better way, please let me know so I can save some time from the experimentation stage...
I just purchased a raymarine 2KW radome and havent yet determined where to install it, either on the mast or a stern pole. Although the pole is a more expensive install, I understand that the radar picks up bouys in the fog better, when entering a channel, but who knows. Anyone with experience...
compressor location
Where is the best location to install the Adler/Barbour air cooled compressor?
Our 35-3 1984 has two ice boxes - approx 6.5 & 2.5 c.f. I'm thinking of the
vd 150 small verticle evaporator in the 6.5 the and a cu-100 air cooled condensor mounted somewhere ? The wife and...
Our original E23-II mechanical blueprints show a 19 gallon fresh water tank option under the cockpit sole, just aft of the bulkhead.
I'm curious if that tank was glassed in ? I have trouble imagining how it could have been installed after the deck/cockpit was fitted. I think we'll probably...
I know that this topic has been brought up before, and I have reviewed all the posts that come up after a search, but I still can't find the hull number for our boat! I can see no numbers moulded into the outside of the transom as suggested by some. I have checked the top of the rudder...
I am readdy to paint my 1974 Ericson 27' inboard boat and need to know where the water line is. I am not concerned with the Boot Top stripe but the actual water line location. Can anyone measure thier boat (in or out of the water) and give me the distance from the bottom of the rubrail to the...
I have a 1974 Ericson 27 that I purchased on the hard and have never seen it in the water. The motor was bad so I am installing a Yanmar 2GM. This is a total resteration project and I am now ready to paint the boat. I need to know where the water line is. I have a boot top but need to know...
Can anyone tell me where the fuel gauge is located for an Ericson 38-200 (or if it is an "option" that may or may not be present)?
I have an 89 E-38-200 with a Universal Diesel. I've located the fuel tank, but can't seem to locate the gauge.
Thanks in advance,
Carol
On my Ericson 32 I have looked high, I have looked low but I cannot find the ID Plate or engraving or stamp anywhere on the boat indicating the hull number. Please advise.
