Removed from my E25 to make way for a new traveler. Yours for $25 plus shipping. In excellent condition (I cleaned it up, then decidided to replace it :))
Has anyone replaced the original traveler car and end stops on their Ericson 25+? It’s a 3/4 I beam track, who makes it and where can I buy a new one? There really isn’t anything I can see stamped with a name on except and old sticker and can’t make out what it says.
Hey all -
Consider me a maintenance newbie. I had a block on my starboard genoa track crack due to UV damage. I need to remove it from the track to replace it but cannot figure out how to do that.
Question: How do I get the car off the track if the track is in a recess of the toe rail?
Notes...
The Ericson sea hood covers the hatch over the companionway when the hatch is open. Such a hood is the easiest way to prevent water from entering the forward end of a sliding hatch, and to protect it from feet, lines and other abuse when open.
The hood is made of plywood sandwiched between...
I am looking for feedback/suggestions on installing a mainsail track into the bolt groove in my teardrop shaped mast and then attaching the sail to the track. Examples are Tides Marine, Antal, Harkin... On my existing setup my mainsail uses 1/2" slugs and works great until I have to reef when...
I'm trying to stop up a rainwater leak into the galley storage area on my 1976 E-32.
I've rebedded the stanchions in the area and the only culprits left (that I can see) are the outboard headsail track and the rub rail.<O:p</O:p

First: I don't see any signs of the sail track being...
Could someone please verify for me the size of genoa track on rails. From Specification in Standard Equipment document for E-32 1972 is - 1 1/4 " stainless steel genoa track, my boat has aluminum track. I am not 100% sure exactly the measurements cause my boat is currently docked in Mexico and...
My 28 was built with the optional shower. The curtain track is still on the ceiling in the head as well as the tie-backs and snaps for the curtain. The curtain and hooks are not in the boat and I would like to replace them. There are two things I am not sure of;
1) I am not sure what type of...
Greetings,
I have a 1981 Ericson 28+ that has developed an annoying leak from the
sheet block track that finds its way onto the counter top in the galley.
I wondered if anyone has ever used this stuff called Gluvit? They claim it
will seal leaks and remain flexible to keep it sealed...
Hello,
Can anyone recommend a good genoa lead block for my E27. Also does anyone know offhand the width of the track on the 27. I noticed the old schaeffer block was on the verge of letting go so I removed it last weekend but forgot to measure the track for the replacement. I am thinking...
The plastic track that my sliding doors sits on is shot, Tried cabnet shops, home repair places, west marine said they could order it, but should be somewhere I could pick it up locally??
Thanks for the help.

I have an 87 E34 that has sail tracks on the toerail (outside) and near the cabin (inside); a dock mate has the same thing on his 87 E38. He has his genoa sheets on the inside (because that's how the previous owner had them) I have my genoa sheets on the outters (because that's how the PO had...
I have to finally deal with a pesky problem that has been around for a while: I have a problem with sail slides getting stuck on the joint between the lower two sections of the sail track in the mast, just below the first spreader. The bottom section is held in by a screw (#10 1 1/4 machine...
Hi Guys,
Were can I order (buy) the two slot track for cabin sliding hatches? Light tan color.
Mine on the "88 E34 have all split and cracked. I need at least 8 17" long for replacement.
thanks to those who always give such good advice.
I am going to the states (Texas) on Monday and can...
:esad:I had a tree fall on my E25 while it was on the trailor in the driveway. The mast took the brunt of the impact. As you can see from the pictures the mast luff track was damaged. I live in East Tennessee where the number of trusted experienced folks to repair this type of damage is...
I will need to remove the Genoa Track on my Ericson32. I can't find any nuts connecting the screws. Are the screwed directly into the deck/hull? I also need to remove the wooden handholds on the left and right side of the mast.
Hello Ericson Sailors--
I just got my asymmetrical spinnaker, and plan on flying it this weekend. I want to add a pair of cars and blocks on the tracks that run along the toe rails on both sides of the boat. Anyone know the track widths? Also, how far back should I position the sheet blocks?
I want to upgrade my traveler on an 1983 Ericson 30+ to a Lewmar. To do this I must remove the original traveler. But most of the bolt nuts underneath the cockpit holding the original Ronstan I-beam track seem inaccessible.
Has anyone tried this or have suggestions?
Thanks!
Anyone here familiar with how the genoa track is attached to the toerail of a 39? Guy? My suspicion is that the toerail is just a piece of fiberglassed wood, and the track is held in place with big honkin' wood screws. With the liner in place inside the cabin, I cannot see any sign of through...
Sail Track Mod
After replacing the sail slides on my main sail, the “stack” of sail slides is now about 6” higher up the sail track. By removing the sail slide stop, I can drop the “stack” of sail slides lower on the mast. Is anyone aware of a part that can fill the access slot on the sail...
Hello, before I'm drilling the first holes in my boat, I would love some advice.
I have a 1973 29' Ericson and sail in the SF bay. Last year I bought a new 95% jib and have been using the toerail track, with not very good upwind performance, so would love to install a new jib track which...
How are tracks attached to the rail ? I assume there isn't enough room below decks to fit bolts but screwing into the rail sure doesn't seem like it would be solid enough ?
I don't have immediate plans to put a track on the rail, but I am curious.

Just curious if any of you folks are using the inside genoa tracks for your bigger (>100%) jibs? I have a 150% RF but I use the outside tracks. I generally thought that the inside tracks were for 100% and smaller but I suppose they could be used for the bigger jibs too, you just may get more...
Finally grown tired of my original curved track traveler in front of my wheel pedestal and ready to upgrade to Harkin straight track with pullies.
Inspected another E35-2 on my dock and noted that they upgraded with a straight track and also installed a stainless bracket below the track for...
Anyone ever attempted this one? Mine may be leaking some on the strb side. I am not 100% certain if it is the toerail mounted track, the rub rail, or possibly the scuppers. Water is certainly getting in though and when I stick my hand up there it seems to be coming from the toerail area. Looks...
I am looking for about 4 ft of the brown lower track used in the sliding cabinet doors onboard the ~1988 Ericsons (32, 34, 38, maybe others). Outwater seems to have these extrusions but only in very large quantities. Rockler has them, too (I think) but I seem to remember someone on the list has...
I want to install the sliding genoa block system from Garhauer but they need to know the thickness of the T section or the manufacturer of the track. A stamped logo is on the end of my genoa track which is a circle with what looks like a three pronged fork in the center. The center prong has a...
The jib car track on my 1971 E-29 is loose. It has 1" track mounted along the rail with flat head bolts. In some places the bolts are loose and the track will lift off the deck slightly if the car is located at the spot. When I tried to tighten the bolts the nuts spin. I can't get access to the...
New plastic track for dual sliding cupboard doors used in galley and head in Ericson sailboats. 6' lengths. I have both the lower and upper tracks, but usually only the lower needs replacing. Price is $20 per 6' length plus shipping.
The plastic track that the galley cuboard doors slide on in my 1984 E38 are broken and the doors don't slide anymore . Any suggestions on where to find replacement track? Peter
