Since we didn't get to go for Thanksgiving we're planning to go this weekend. Heading over Friday morning and coming back Sunday. Not sure which cove we'll head for but doubt it will be crowded :egrin:
Anyone else ?

We're planning to head back out there on Friday morning, once the fog lifts and the wind picks up a bit.
We have more boat chores to do so we'll probably once again head for the Isthmus where we can work in a relative paradise.
Anyone else ?

In addition to swapping out the four AGM T27s this weekend we're also hoping to paint the rubrail. We picked up some of the recommended "Aquagard Flexbar PVC and Infatible" paint: http://www.jamestowndistributors.com/userportal/show_product.do?pid=52254&BASE
I know that if properly applied...
We'd hoped to cross over to Cherry Cove before the heavy rain tomorrow/Friday but our Perkins is still being serviced: New SS exhaust manifold, tach repair, audible temp and oil pressure alarm installation.
Guess we'll do some in-slip work instead.

I'm new to this board, so I may not be putting this in the right forum, but I thought I'd share.
A little bit of back story - I and a few of my friends own an Ericson 27, 'Wino Country Safari' and sail it often around Seattle's Lake Union and occasionally around Puget Sound, up to the San...
I just heard from a man who lives aboard his boat on B dock at Cabrillo Marina that his two neighbors lost their boats at the West End on Sunday. Both boats were at Catalina Harbor for the weekend and left Sunday afternoon. One boat - a Fuji 32 I think he said - lost power and the woman...
If you have a Garmin chartplotter, your date may be wrong which will affect tide/current data. Here is a temporary fix until Garmin can permanently fix the firmware for these units.
If the date displayed on the GPSMAP 21xx, 22xx, 3xxx, 4xxx or 5xxx series is displaying December 31, 1989 or...

Two Ericsons side by side. Cordelia and a 29 from another class.

Anyone heading anywhere nice this weekend. We hope to go out Thursday PM or Firday morning. Hopefully Snow I. Friday night. Saturday and Sunday up in the air. Maybe the Gosslings Saturday and Jewel Sunday.
We are holding our annual award winning regatta this weekend. I have run the event for the past 2 years and will assist this year. We have managed to keep it the best and cheapest regatta in the schedule without going corporate like almost every other one. We are still home grown and ours is...
We had a great weekend sailing. We went to 2 beautiful spots in Casco Bay(the gosslings and Jewell I.) and we got to sit back and enjoy all the hard work we did this winter.
Here is a photo of the new galley faucet and sink. The original was too small for a dinner plate to sit flat and the...

Hauling my Universal - pics
After having some overheating issues, a little smoke from the exhaust, seemingly low power, and judging the overall visual condition of the motor I have made the decision to pull and completely rebuild my Universal 5416. I will be hauling it out this weekend.
My...
Hello all Vikings
I just had to share some shots of On Porpoise out at yellow banks anchorage on Santa Cruz Island. The week preceding this weekend we knew thaht we had a good weather window for an overnighter at the island. What we werent prepared for was just how nice it was going to be. A...
Two Harbors This weekend.
Hopefully it will be a bit thinned out by now because the kids are back in school. If anyone's going over, keep an eye out for "The Pride of Cucamonga" an myself. Leaving Friday AM, Back Sunday PM.

Peregrine Spirit and crew will be going to Catalina for the weekend. We plan to depart SD Thursday evening and will try to get into Two Harbors on Friday. Suspect we will have a hard time getting a mooring since there is going to be a Baja HaHa rendezvous and an H&S Yachts function there. Any...
I would appreciate it if anyone could measure the width of the top of the cockpit cubby holes, I am trying to choose some new winches, and am wondering if there is a size limit.

Any NE sailors out there who want to participate in the first major regatta of the season should head to S. Portland this weekend for the Centerboard Regatta. Great racing, live entertainment, Gritty's beer and great food. We earned the best hospitality award from GMORA(Gulf of Maine Ocean...
Was fun but light air. We never had more than 5kts and mostly 2-3kts of breeze. We ended up 6th in Division: PHRF A3 (14 boats). We beat everyone we owed time to and a lot that owed us time. The J-105 class started 20 minutes ahead of us andwe sailed through most of them to finish ahead scratch...
The weather report looks good so far. The Newport to Ensenada race is on, so moorings should be available - looks like a perfect spring weekend for a trip to the Isthmus...
I'm going to try to snag a slip in Fourth of July Cove... anybody else going over?
.
Please vote if you will attend Port Townsend Father's day weekend. I will be making reservations for us March 15th. Please respond yes or no and then put comments in the other thread so I can keep it simple.

Avalon for Easter Weekend?
I am considering going to Avalon for Easter weekend before the Summer Crowds show up. I would probably head over on the morning of Thursday the 13th and sail back in the afternoon on Easter Sunday the 16th. Any one else thinking the same way?
Assuming the weather doesn't get really bad, we plan to head out somewhere on Friday and return back on Tuesday, taking one vacation day at each end of the 3-day weekend.
We haven't yet decided where we're going, but it will probably either be the Isthmus or SBI, or both.

It's looking awfully nice out there... but the possibility of a nasty Santa Ana lingers... just read the "hazardous weather" warning that it could blow hard this weekend, but I'm thinking - what if it doesn't? Could be a great weekend with warm temps and some nice hiking over there. What do you...
Tall Ships in San Pedro This weekend! August 11-14 at The San Pedro Waterfront. Starting TODAY the excitement and pageantry of international Tall Ships comes to the Port of Los Angeles for four days of maritime festivities under the banner of TallShips LA!

Hi all,
This is a reminder that the CEOA rebirth party is this Saturday June 25, 2005, at the Boatyard Bar and Grill in Eastport/Annapolis. I will be there starting at 4:30PM. Look for a tall skinny redhead with a Grey Cap with the Ericson logo embroidered on it. The Boatyard does not...
Heading back to Two Harbors this weekend! I'll be there Friday-Sunday.
Any other EY.com folks going over again? I have good friends (Two Couples) that are celebrating joint wedding anniversary's. They have rented out half the Banning House. Other boats in this rendezvous are a Cal 29...
Hi All
Here are the first batch of photos from my first Catalina Trip of the year with my old buddy, Evergreen Slim from Seattle. We had outstanding weather that allowed us a great sail across the channel with winds up to 21 knots and six foot seas for the last 5 miles, as well as great...
We're hoping to cross from MDR to one of the two Catalina isthmus harbours this Saturday, 6-12. Since we'll be rushed we'll probably set out early on Saturday, under power until the prevailing winds appear. We'll be heading back on Sunday ... unavoidable.
Any other Ericsons on this board...
We haul out in March to get antifouling bottom coats applied and the through-hulls replaced. Until then we have a high-drag bottom as the diver hasn't been by to wipe off the growth in 6 weeks.
Still ... an absolutely beautiful day at up to hull speed under sunny skies with 10 to 15 mph (5-8...
