O34 Non-Skid done, Name on

As of today the scaffolding is put away. The name and hailing port is back on both sides, and even new "Ericson Olson" decals are back on each side of the cabin.
The new non skid works exactly as it should. Shoe soles "stick" to it, but it seems OK to sit on. We decided to leave the non skid area on the bridge deck just a tad rougher, because it's important to have the most secure footing when coming out of the cabin in a seaway.
The contrast shade with the deck color is subtle but noticeable.
Because of the multiple clear coats on the hull, the new name almost appears to "float" on the surface. As mentioned previously, this is a brand new AwlGrip product.
Not in today's earlier pix, but we did get the steering wheel back on this afternoon. The radar post with all wiring is now ready for a final dry fit, also.

Our painter sez this is his best looking paint job yet (well, you know, other than his own customized boat!). :)

If one recalls/likes the old company ad slogan that "an Ericson is forever" then making one look brand new again seems justified.
Well, to me anyway. In another 30 years, someone else can refinish it! :egrin:
