This "restoration" probably could have been done anytime in the last few seasons, but we were cruising & overnighting during the summers.
The pandemic of 2020 changes everything. Our plan to cruise up north into BC waters was abruptly shelved, and even a land visit to the NW Rendezvous is likely not happening, even if there is a Viking gathering.
Then fortunately a local ship wright who is usually booked 6 (++) months out, had an opening in his shop, and we signed up.
